Hydrangea Hill Suite

This suite of products in on pages 18-20 of the January-June 2021 Mini Stampin' Up! catalog.  Whether you use the stamp set, the dies or just the Designer Series Paper (DSP), you are sure to create beautiful projects!

I find that I am purchasing stamp sets as much for the sentiments as for the images.  This stamp set has great sentiments that I will use for a long time to come, including "You make me smile", "The world is better because of you" and "You are capable of amazing things".  We all know someone who would appreciate receiving something with any of these phrases on it!

I find that it helps to die cut every piece to see how they work.  For instance, the single flowers are die cut from one long die.  I die without stamping, then I stamp and die cut, then adhere them to one piece of cardstock.  It makes a great reference.

Here I tried to show you the details of the flowers and the sentiment die.  There's some embossing on the flowers and faux stitch marks on the sentiment die.

Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper (item 154570, $11.50 for 12 sheets, 2 each of 6 double-sided designs)

Stampin' Up! offers great coordination.  While these products are offered together, the ribbon and embellishments can be used on any project.
Gorgeous Grape 3/8" Sheer Ribbon (item 154572, $7 for 10 yards)

Pastel Pearls (item 154571. $6.50 for 200 pieces, 50 each of 4 colors, 5mm, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray)

A few of my creations!

These cards all have the same layout and highlight the DSP well.  The layer of card stock is 3-1/4" X 5".  The strips of DSP are 3" X 1-1/2".  Can you see that I mixed in a few pieces of the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate?  Another idea is to include 3" X 1-1/2" embossed card stock pieces or stamped pieces if you don't have as much DSP.  So many options!

Don't forget to stamp your envelopes!

I wanted to have a white hydrangea so I colored around the stamped image with a Purple Posy Blend.

The sentiment layers were created by punching not only the stamped sentiment on the Purple Posy card stock, but using the punch on Highland Heather and White card stock and layering them behind the Purple Posy.

This is another option for highlighting the DSP, but scraps could be used.  The 5 pieces are 4" X 1".

The background for this stamped and die cut image was created using Seaside Spray ink and repeatedly stamping the swish, without always re-inking the stamp.
