One Sheet Wonders--Using 3" X 3" Squares

Whether your Designer Series Paper (DSP) is 12" x 12" or 6" x 6", cutting it to 3" x 3" squares leaves no waste!  Here are a few ideas for this fun size of DSP.

Layer:  The card stock layer on all of these is 3-1/4" x 4-1/4".

Leave it 3" x 3"

This seems to work best when the paper has a focal point on it and is not an all-over print.  The large flowers here work well as my focal point.

3" x 1" Strips

To create this, cut the 3" x 3" square into 3" x 1" pieces.  I added more interest with the oval sentiment and the punched dragonfly.

Cut Diagonally

Place the 3" x 3" square in your trimmer with opposite points over the cutting track and cut.  If your sentiment is narrow enough, it will fit between the triangles.  Mine needed a larger space so I stamped it on a strip of card stock and punched the ends.

To add interest, I stamped a white layer using the smallest circle in the Swirly Frames stamp set and Magenta Madness ink.

Punch or Die Cut a Shape

I used the Medium Daisy punch on the DSP and added a white daisy behind the DSP flower.
