These were the cards I made during my Facebook live video on Monday, July 12, 2021. The video is also available on my YouTube channel.
This first one starts with two 3" X 3" squares of Designer Series Paper (DSP). Cut a slit on both pieces at 1-1/2" from the edge to the center of the square. Intertwine the 2 squares. Adhere them together in opposite corners. Fold back 2 flaps and adhere those down. You should see all 4 sides of the DSP, if you have used two different patterns. A fun option would be to emboss the square to give the effect of a quilt.
I have layered my 3" X 3" square onto a Evening Evergreen square that is 3-1/4" X 3-1/4" and a Cajun Craze square that is 3-3/8" X 3-13/8".
The sentiment is from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. (I cut apart 'Happy Birthday' and 'you sweet thing'.) The punches I used are the Label Me Lovely for the sentiment, and the Label Me Fancy from a scrap of the DSP to include a tiger on my card.
Another idea that I show here is to adhere a 6" X 2-1/2" piece of DSP to the flap of your envelope. I used liquid adhesive for this. Once it's dry, just trim the DSP around the envelope flap.
As I mention in my video, this second card would be a great layout for other DSP! The dimensions of my layers are:
Standard A2 card base: when folded: 5-1/2" X 4-1/4"
Evening Evergreen DSP: 5-3/8" X 4-1/8"
Embossed So Saffron: 3-3/4" X 3-1/2"
DSP Print: 4" X 2-3/4"
Sentiment: Scrap that is 5/8" X 4"
The sentiment is from Artistically Inked and is heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used Versamark ink on the stamp.
