October 2022 Christmas Card(s)

I used some non-Christmas stamps this month to create wreaths for my cards.  I'll save my favorite one for last.

I used what I think of as a background stamp in the Artistically Inked stamp set to create my wreath here in Garden Green ink.  (It's in the top right in this image of the stamp set.)  In packaging retired products for a craft fair next week, I came across some 6"X 6" pre-embossed white sheets.  This first one had dots on it.  I stamped the background image in a ring and then wiped the excess ink off the embossed images.  If you don't have a pre-embossed sheet, you could emboss one yourself using a small stamp or a background stamp with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder.

This bow is from the now-retired Wreath Builder dies cut in Real Red cardstock.  The gems on the wreath are Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  The finishing touches were the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels on either side of the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the now-retired Light & Peace stamp set.  It is embossed using gold embossing powder, but it doesn't photograph very well.

My second card is similar, but the embossed images are stars.  I used the single leaf from Artistically Inked and Garden Green ink to stamp my wreath.  I went around once to create the circle and continued around again filling in as needed to complete the wreath.

For this bow, I really thought outside the box!  It is actually the sign hanger in the Warm Welcome dies!  I die cut it twice and layered them to create the box.  I didn't have any of our current bow dies.  I used the same Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels as on my first card.

My final card uses all current products.  I switched to Sweet Sorbet and Granny Apple Green.  For the wreath I used both the 3-leaf stamp and single leaf stamp in the Simply Fabulous stamp set.  I colored Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a dark Sweet Sorbet Blend alcohol marker.  The bow is made from 3 strands of the Sweet Sorbet/white twine in the 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine Pack.  The sentiment is in the stamp set, Celebrate with Tags and cut with the Seasonal Labels Dies.

I challenge you to make a wreath using any greenery stamp you have!  Happy Stampin'!
