Why Join Stampin' Up!?

Every so often Stampin' Up! will offer a 'joining special'.  This always happens during our big, annual sale, Sale-a-bration.  That tends to start in January.  During the month of June 2023, Stampin' Up! is offering an extra $30 worth of products in your starter kit, for the same $99.  (This is all USD, to be clear.)

When you join the Stampin' Up! family, you purchase a Starter Kit.  Your kit includes lots of Stampin' Up! products that you choose as well as business supplies like catalogs and order forms.  They have been including a past Paper Pumpkin kit as well AND this purchase has FREE SHIPPING.  (I often forget about that added discount.)

Check out my suggestions below if you need help putting together a Starter Kit.

So, "Why should I join the Stampin' Up! family?", you might ask.  I asked a few demo friends recently and the answers varied, but the most common one I heard was 'community'.  When you join, the person you sign up under is your team leader.  I try to keep my team, the Polaris Stamping Team, as involved as they'd like.  I've had people sign up just to get the deal with the kit special and didn't engage any more than that.  The other extreme would be my teammates who chat regularly in our team Facebook group.

Most people join for the discount.  You start at 20% and after selling (or purchasing) what would equate to your quarterly minimum for 6 months that increases to 25%.  (So, if you remain active for 6 months, you'd get this increase OR if your sales are really strong right away, you would get this increase sooner.)

I love the flexibility in being a demo.

Make this a business--or don't.

Share online--or don't.

Do classes and workshops--or don't.

Get involved in charitable causes--or don't.

Make videos--or don't.

Have a blog--or don't.

Be involved in your team--or don't.

Offer retreats--or don't.

Do you get the idea??  There are lots of opportunities, but YOU chose what's right for YOU--period. And what's right for you can change over time.  After all those "--or don't" statements above, I could have added 'for now'.  As your team leader, I feel like it's my responcability to help you through the process and become the demo YOU want to be.

On that note, I am a certified Life Coach.  And while I want to use my skills in my leadership, I haven't been able to do that quite yet.  That's one goal I currently have for my own business.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR STARTER KIT

If you are new to stamping, I'd suggest you start with:  Page numbers included are in the 2023-2024 annual catalog.

-Stamp Set

Choose one with both sentiments and images, like Ringed with Nature (Page 44 - 159883), Circle Sayings (Page 17 - 161348), or Layering Leaves (Page 96 - 161277)

$25.00 (ish)

-3 Ink Pads:  (Pages 122-123)

I'd suggest darker colors to start--you can stamp off to get more variation. Try Night of Navy, Real Read and Shaded Spruce.

$27.00

-Note Cards and Envelopes (Page 135  Item:   Basic White -  159232  Very Vanilla - 144236)

$8.00

-Cardstock Assortment that coordinates with a few colors in your DSP (Page 125)

$10.00

-our Paper Trimmer (Page 145  Item:  152392)

$26.00

-a package of your favorite Designer Series Paper (Pages 129-133)

$12.00

-an Embellishment/Ribbon/Twine or 2 (Pages 139-144)
(I'd suggest the Linen Thread - 104199, Simply Elegant Trim - 155766, or Baker's Twine Essentials Pack - 155475

and an embellishment like the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots - 156506, Classic Mat Dots - 158146, or Rhinestone Basic Jewels - 144220)

$20 (or so for both)

-Acrylic Block:  (Page  151)  I'd choose D - 118485

$9.50

AND you still have almost $20 to add your favorite products!  I'd add more ink pads personally (a brown - Pecan Pie and a pink - Flirty Flamingo /purple - Highland Heather), but it's your choice!  You could choose a punch as well, see pages 146 - 149, or a second stamp set.  See, it's already YOUR CHOICE!

You really only need stamps, ink and paper to get started.  The trimmer is a great investment, too.

I'd love to chat with you about joining the team!  Call, email, or message me!
