This kind of pop-up card was the first fun fold card I learned to make. To create the pop-up part, we create a second, smaller card to adhere inside the outer card. To create the actual pop-up part, make 2 parallel cuts on the fold of the inside card, like the diagram below.
My outer card was a standard A2 card: 8-1/2" X 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4". My inner card was 8" X 5", folded in half at 4". This could be adjusted to fit your project.
The section between the 2 cuts will be pushed into the card and folded in reverse, like the photo below.
When adhering items to the popped-up piece, be sure it won't go beyond the edges of your card.
Decorate the front and inside as desired.
and don't forget to decorate your envelope!
