Pick of the Patch Bundle

Today I'm sharing the 2 cards I took to the Stampin' Up! leaders conference, Backstage, in Las Vegas last month. I used the Pick of the Patch bundle that you'll find on pages 51 and 70 in the September-December 2023 mini catalog.

With solid images like the pumpkins, gourd and leaves, I like to add more than one ink color to the stamp before putting it to paper.  Lately, I've been using Blending Brushes to do this.

For my first card, I focused on the pumpkins, coloring them with various combinations of Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Sorbet, and Copper Clay ink.  The Soft Sea Foam panel was embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder, which is currently an Online Exclusive item.  I added some Garden Green ink to that with a Blending Brush after embossing.  The Copper Clay piece with copper foil is from the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper pack.  A bit of Natural 1/4" Wavy Trim adds a little more texture to the card.

The sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso ink on a banner from the Stylish Shapes dies.

My second card started with a Crumb Cake layer.  I used Copper Clay ink on the Tree Ring embossing folder before embossing.  This gave a lot of definition to the tree rings.  This was added to a Copper Clay card base.  The tree focal point was stamped on a rectangle die cut using the Radiating Stitches dies, an Online Exclusive item.  The leaves were stamped with Garden Green and Soft Sea Foam ink.  To create the ground/hills, I tore a piece of scrap paper and used that as a mask with Garden Green ink and a Blending Brush.  A small piece of Copper Clay ribbon again, adds texture to my card.

Once I have access to links for the new products in the mini catalog, I'll add those links below.

Happy Stampin'!
