Latch Card

In my video on Monday, January 22, 2024, I featured the Most Adored Designer Series Paper (DSP), available as a free gift with purchase during Sale-a-bration 2024.  I made a latch card and was asked to provide the details here.  I hope you find this useful!

You'll need:
-cardbase:  5-1/2" X 7-1/2", score at 3-1/4"

This creates an A2 card with a 3-1/4" front flap.

-layers: 3" X 5-1/4", front and inside

-for right side of card:  3/4" X 5-1/4"

-a latch of some sort, could be die cut, punch or any shape.  I prefer having this be at least 2 layers

-Stampin' Dimensionals®

In the video and on my samples, I used DSP which I stamped on and wanted the pattern to extend across my whole card front.  So, I started with a piece of DSP that was 3-3/4" X 5-1/4", stamped, then cut it into 2 pieces that were 3" and 3/4".

SO, the actual pieces you need to decorate the front of your card are:
3" X 5-1/4" and 3/4" X 5-1/4".  Great use of scraps!

One more note:  To allow front panel to ease under your latch, score right next to the front flap 3-5 times on the right side of the card.  Adhere the latch with Stampin' Dimensionals®.  Maybe this graphic will help.

The latch makes a great focal point!  Depending on the rest of your card, you may not need much else on it.  Here are my first 3 cards.

Here's the video from YouTube if you want to see me make it.

Happy Stampin'!
