Fun Fold Showing both Sides of your Patterned Paper

As promised, here are both the dimensions of this week's card layout and more samples.  It just occurred to me that this could be used with 6"x6" papers!  When I create a card using patterned paper as a card base, I often use papers larger than 6".

Another thought:  If you use 6" papers, use the 1/2" and 1/4" strips on the inside of your card or even on the front flap.

I learned about this card from Julie Davison, another Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  She had a blog post featuring this card on April 27, 2025.  (I guess I saw that right away!  That was only 2 days ago.)

Card base: 5-1/2" X 4-1/4"
Patterned Paper: 5-1/2" X 5-3/4" (5-1/2" across), score at 2"
Cardstock: 4-1/4" X 6", score at 3"
Coordinating Patterned Paper: 4" X 2-3/4" (4" across)
(if necessary, white or vanilla for inside) 4" X 2-3/4"

If you want/need more space to write or stamp on, change the card base to a standard A2 card base with a fold. So use 8-1/2" X 5-1/2" folded at 4-1/4". If your cardstock is dark, add a layer inside to write on.

These next cards were made using the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.  This time I used the Modern Oval punch for my sentiments.

I do like this layout using floral papers so it looks like the flowers are growing up on the flap.  I will have to expand my ideas and use other papers, too.

Here was my first sample that I showed in my video using Fresh as a Daisy, retired paper.

Check out my online store for other papers you could use.

Happy Stampin'!
