I'm trying to work smarter not harder. Well, I don't consider paper crafting work at all! I've combined this week's Freshly Made Sketch with the stamp set from Stamping Through the Catalog. #sttcchallenge And several of these cards and ideas were shared during my Catalog Kick-Off last weekend. I've included that video at the end of this long blog post.
First is my card for Freshly Made Sketch #687. My floral elements were stamped in Basic Gray and colored with a Small Blending Brush with a few details added with a Blender Pen and ink from the ink pads. The 'extra' floral pieces were added to the inside of my card. The sentiment stamp can be found in Tags of Thanks.
This week in her weekly live video, our CEO, Sara Douglass was with the designer of the Floral Impressions Suite, a newer Online Exclusive. I used the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder from that suite on this card. Kaitlin, the designer, shared that she had been inspired by clay pots with debossed floral elements for this folder and that she intended us to use the debossed side of the folder. So, I did!
Next, I have a card where I took the time to color the stamped image with watercolor pencils and blended with a Blender Pen.
I used the same sentiment from Tags of Thanks and Garden Green ink. The tag end was punched with the Hole Punch Assortment with White Woven Ribbon add along with some Garden Green twine.
This stamp/die bundle coordinates with the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape! Here are the cards I shared during my Catalog Kick-Off.
For this one, I adhered the washi tape to Basic White cardstock and die cut the images. A few of the images were directly die cut from the washi without cardstock. Notice the images on the Calypso Coral cardstock.
Need a quick sentiment for your card? I used 'hello' from the Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. The pack also includes sentiments in black on white; they aren't all white lettering on a black background.
This is probably the quickest card of them all. A sentiment from With You in Mind adhered to my card base with the washi tape! Can you see inside my card that I stamped just the edge of the layer? I stamped the corner of my envelope, too, but I guess I forgot to photograph that.
