I loved the simplicity of this sketch. As mentioned in the blog post introducing the sketch, they called it a 'little old school'. But old school to me means tried and true, one to return to often.
Check out this blog post to see how others interpreted the sketch. (Just click on the sketch below.)
I actually made 2 cards with the sketch this week, but one was for my mom for Mother's Day. I'll post those photos once she receives her card.
For the card I'm sharing first, I turned the sketch sideways which allowed me to create the water using a die. These are brand new Stampin' Up! products, available on May 6, 2025 called Sunrise Sailing. The bundle includes a stamp set, die set and a hybrid embossing folder. I'm not sure if the photo shows it, but the sailboat is stamped, die cut and embossed.
The colors I used were Secret Sea, Azure Afternoon and Coastal Cabana.
For my mom's card, I used another brand new bundle, Impressions Abloom. It, too, will be available on May 6, 2025, as part of Stampin' Up!'s Online Exclusive offerings.
Come back later to see her card!
Happy Stampin'!-- Sue
Such a beautiful and serene card! I love how you turned the sketch and used the water die, so clever! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

DeleteI love your interpretation of the sketch! The wavy element of the sketch is absolutely perfect for ocean waves. And the sailboat finishes off the look perfectly. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
