Quick Cards using Patterned Paper

In my Fast or Frugal Friday video for May 16, 2025, I used patterned paper and let the paper do the work for me.

There are SO MANY options for doing this.  I made truly simple cards in the video and wanted to share that you can absolutely step up your cards.  The goal of my Friday videos is to make them quick, so you won't see elaborate cards there.

One basic way to add to your project is to add layers.  I made one more card with the On the Go Designer Series Paper doing just that.  I cut my 4" X 6" piece into 3 random pieces.  I looked at the images on the paper when deciding where to cut.  Do that same if you try this on a project.  You might choose to not cut up a flower or an animal image.

I thought you'd appreciate seeing all of these cards up close.

The Pretty in Pink daisy die was already cut as were the white accent pieces. That was one my very first Frugal Friday tips-- when you have time die cut ahead (using scraps!) and store them with the dies.  I use envelopes I create out of old catalogs--Yet another frugal tip!

The gold edged labels are in the Foiled Frames & Labels Ephemera Pack.

To create the tag, I stamped on a scrap of Crushed Curry cardstock using Shy Shamrock ink.  After trimming it to the right width, I used the To the Point Label punch to create the fun top edge.  I used the Hole Punch Assortment punch (the simple hole) to create a hole for my twine.
