For this month's birthday cards, I'm working smarter not harder and am sharing all the cards I made with my Beautiful Gallery kit. Three of these 5 cards could be used as birthday cards since I used the 'celebrate' sentiment on them.
These are the cards I made with the kit I'm offering free with purchase at my online store. US only, per Stampin' Up! policy. Sorry. Order by June 30, 2025.
Your kit will include several 3" X 6" pieces of the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper (DSP), some coordinating cardstock, 2' of ribbon, some Pressed Flower Motifs, and a few die cuts. With 14 colors in the patterned paper, you most likely have an ink color that you can use on your projects.
This was my first sample that I showed in my video on Monday, June 16th.
I used Crumb Cake ink stamped off once and the Beautiful Motifs stamp set for the background. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Pecan Pie ink. I cut the Pecan Pie cardstock and embossed it using the Damask Designs Embossing Folder to add texture.
The DSP and cardstock layers are 3" X 4". The element behind the sentiment is a scrap of DSP.
This is the card I made during the video. Again the panels are 3" X 4" and are 2 pieces of DSP this time. To add, interest I tore the lower edge of the DSP behind my sentiment.
The sentiment, from Beautiful Motifs, was stamped in Secret Sea ink. And I used a small portion of the fern die cut, included in your kit.
Next is the card that I started at the end of the video.
I again used a DSP scrap behind my sentiment and more of the fern die cut.
This card was made in much the same way. I colored the floral images with Stampin' Blends in the following colors: dark Lemon Lolly, light and dark Calypso Coral, light and dark Crumb Cake and colors SU500 and SU800. When coloring with Blends, the inks often bleed through the paper. You do see a bit of that inside the card, but I was okay leaving it like that. If it bothers you, you could add a layer inside to cover the backside of the DSP.
I kept this next card simple and added narrow strips of Secret Sea cardstock on either side of the DSP panel. A scrap of Basic Beige was used for the sentiment. The hardest parts of making the card were tying the bow and getting the Secret Sea strips straight!
And finally, I went for a mostly clean and simple look. "Clean" cards probably don't have ink added with a small blending brush like I did here, so let's call it a minimalist card.
I think the dimensionals behind the panel make this card effective. The card is prettier in person--the inking is not as dark as the photo shows.
Here's the video I was referring to above.
I hope you enjoy creating with these products! Happy Stampin'! Sue
