Christmas Cards for October 2025 with Freshly Made Sketches and More

I have so many cards to share with you today!  I have a card I made with this week's Freshly Made Sketch, then I have the 3 cards I made during the first Craft Class that Stampin' Up! has offered.  The class was based on the Traditions of Christmas suite.  I only purchased the Designer Series Paper and used other products instead of the other suite products.  I used both current and retired products.  I'll share the specific products I used on each card.

First is a card I made using the Freshly Made Sketch for this week.  They are on number 709! That's a lot of sketches for us to use.  Mine is a 5" square card.

I don't often make square cards.  In the US, if you send a square envelope, the USPS charges extra postage.  This card would fit in a 5-3/4" X 8-3/4" envelope I have, and I don't think I'd need the extra postage then.  I do give Tony and our kids cards at Christmas, so I might just use this card for one of them and not mail it anyways.

I used current products for this card including the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper, the Peace on Earth bundle, Hues of Blue Flowers, Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper, with Basic White Thick Cardstock, Misty Moonlight Cardstock, and Secret Sea Cardstock.  Inside I stamped using the single Merry Christmas stamp.  It is quite large.

Click on the sketch below and you'll get to see how other crafters created using this sketch!

Stampin' Up!'s Craft Class: Traditions of Christmas

Now onto the cards I created during the Craft Class I purchased from Stampin' Up!  If you're interested, the class is still available for purchase.  I learned a few tips and tricks that I can use on more projects.

This is Stampin' Up!'s card.

I missed a step when creating this card, but I'm happy with how it turned out.  I used the retired Leaves of Holly stamp set, Holly Berry dies, and Something Fancy dies.  You might notice the labels from the current Branching Out dies and Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments.  I colored the silver/clear embellishments with a Real Red Stampin' Blend.  Notice the blended images in the background.  We used a Blending Brush for those.

Next, we have another Christmas card that I was able to replicate pretty close using just a few other products.  They suggested we stamp and color a floral spray in the Christmas Greenery bundle.  I was able to fussy cut a floral spray from the Designer Series Paper since I didn't have that stamp/die set.  I substituted a label from the current Branching Out dies and retired Something Fancy dies for the label from Traditional Labels dies. The sentiment is from Christmas Pines, a retired stamp set.

I used the Branching Out stamp set for my background stamps and inside my card.

Here is Stampin' Up!'s card #2.

And the final card we made.  Again I fussy cut a floral spray form the Designer Series Paper.  They used a die to cut it out.  My gold sprigs were cut out of gold foil using a die from the Peace on Earth dies  My sentiment is from the retired Christmas Pines stamp set and I used retired Real Red ribbon.  The label is in the current Branching Out dies and the gold embellishments are Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments.

One of the many things I love about Stampin' Up! is that I knew that any retired Real Red ribbon I had in my stash would match this current Designer Series Paper!

Inside, I used the Peace on Earth dies, Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder and fussy cut flowers from the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper.

And you can compare it to Stampin' Up!'s final card.

They opted to create a place for a photo inside their card.

They did have a fourth project, a home decor piece, that I haven't finished yet.  Here is a photo of their completed project.

I wanted to share all the retired products I substituted for current products when I took this class.  The only product I used from the suggested suite was the Designer Series Paper, Traditions of Christmas shown below.

Stampin' Up! plans on offering more classes.  I hope you'll consider taking one of them.  They shared tips and tricks that I was able to incorporate into my projects, even though I didn't purchase all of the suggested products.

Until next time, Happy Stampin'!
