Christmas in July, using DSP

For my sample card, that I made before my video, I cut a frame from a Cherry Cobbler print in the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper, using 2 of the Stitched Rectangle dies.  Although they are not a new product, they are new to me.  I have just been cutting rectangles with my trimmer, but when I saw the Picture This dies (shown below), I thought I could re-create something similar and I would have more options using the set of 13 rectangles.  Keep following me for my version of the windows!

 Stitched Rectangles Dies

Here are the Picture This Dies.  I've seen some really cute projects made with these.  Have you?  I thought the set of rectangles were more versatile, so I started with those.  I'll report back on my attempt to create something like the Picture This product.

Here's the card sketch I used during my video:

The peach is your standard A2 card base.  When folded, it's 5-1/2" X 4-1/4".

The black is a layering piece that is 5-1/4" X 4".

The gray sections are your DSP that you've cut to 4-3/4" X 3-1/2" then cut at a diagonal.  If you use 2 pieces of DSP with this design and cut them together, you'll have 4 pieces to put on 2 cards, as I did in the video.  You can mix and match patterns.  Use whatever dies, punches, embellishments, and ribbon, you have to complete your card.

These are the cards I made with this sketch:

I used the For Unto Us stamp set.  This was available last fall and is returning to the July-December 2021 catalog.  The Designer Series Paper I used were Tidings of Christmas, Bloom Where You're Planted, and the In Color 2021-2023 Assortment.  The card stock was the coordinating Sahara Sand and Evening Evergreen.

Note:  The July-December 2021 mini catalog will be 'live' for customers August 3, 2021- January 3, 2022.  Stampin' Up! delayed the catalog by a month (and moved Sale-a-bration to August-September, as well) due to the continuing shipping issues worldwide.  I am calling this the Fall Mini Catalog.  Explaining all this has become cumbersome.

Happy Stampin'!
