Christmas Card: May 2025 (Plus a bonus card!)

As a demonstrator, I was able to register for a demonstrator-only, crafting-only (no business chat) event coming up in June.  During that event, we'll be creating with a new Christmas suite called Peaceful Garden.  The suite is scheduled to be released in the September - December 2025 mini catalog, if I remember correctly.

For my Christmas card this month, I used the Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder and the Peace on Earth stamp set/die bundle.  The stamp set is sentiments only and the die set includes the 2 label dies I used on this card, and 2 different dove dies.

The colors I used are Secret Sea, Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake and Basic White.  In the close-up photo I think you can see all the Wink of Stella I brushed onto the card, onto both the dove and the greenery embossed layer.  I added Secret Sea onto the embossed piece with a Blending Brush to highlight the embossing.  I didn't really like the look, until I used the Wink of Stella on it.  It was the finishing touch that my card needed!

Since the suite I purchased included Designer Series Paper (DSP), embellishments and ribbon that I hadn't used on my Christmas card, I made a second card this month using the rest of the Peaceful Garden Suite.

The event I mentioned above is called Creativity Now.  Several years ago, during Creativity Now we made a card using this layout.  Does it look familiar?  It's a fun way to use 2 (or more) patterns from a pack of DSP.

Here my card base is Cloud Cover.  The DSP is called Peaceful Garden;  they have been consistent with naming the suite after the DSP.  The embellishments are 3 shades of blue and aptly named Hues of Blue Flowers.  The ribbon is Misty Moonlight 1/2" wide Silver-Edged Ribbon.

For my sentiment, I used half of a label, so as to not cover up too much of the DSP.

I'm excited to see how Stampin' Up! has us use this suite during Creativity Now which I will be attending (virtually) on June 21, 2025.  After the event, I'll be sure post the projects we create!

Happy Stampin'!  It's never too early to start creating for Christmas!  -- Sue
