I started my alternatives using the Thank You Kindly kit on my weekly Facebook live on Monday, April 14th.
HINT: Because of the veins on the leaves and details on the flower pieces, using Tear and Tape is best. Liquid glue will seep through the veins/details.
When I saw this kit, my first thought was "They need color."
Here are the pieces you get in the kit.
Maybe you can see the completed cards better here, especially the gold details on the flower, leaves and sentiments.
Following are the cards I made during my weekly video. Here is that video from April 14, 2025.
I added Soft Sea Foam, Fresh Freesia and Petunia Pop inks with sponge daubers. The detailed cuts on the flower allowed me to get ink just where I wanted it.
For this card, I started with Pretty Peacock for the circles and Lost Lagoon on the leave sprig. I didn't like the Lost Lagoon, so I switched it to Garden Green. I'm glad I did.
While the kit was still on my table, I kept creating.
How about adding ink to the rectangle, too? Here I used Pool Party on the rectangle, a Soft Sea Foam on the leaves, and Fresh Freesia and Petunia Pop on the flower.
I asked in my Sue's Stampin' Chat Facebook group for suggestions for this card. I had the circles colored with Peach Pie ink. I opted for Berry Burst instead. The leaf sprig was colored with our new In Color Secret Sea, a very dark blue, almost black.
This is the card I made for my sister-in-law. I remembered to take a picture of it before I sent it last month. The "Celebrate" was die cut with the Wanted to Say dies, that are on the Last Chance list as of today (4/30/25) and are low inventory.
And finally, when adding Pool Party ink to the leave sprig on the next card, I used it as a mask to create the background on the last card. Notice that the color went through the veins of the leaves. You can see better on the last photo.
The circles were colored with Darling Duckling, a 2025-2027 In Color.
My sentiment is in the new 'Impressions Abloom' stamp set that will be available on May 6, 2025. To color the rhinestones I used Blends, our alcohol markers.
Take a look at our kits and incorporate them into your crafting. Let Stampin' Up! do some of the prep work for you!
