I had the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP) on my table and used it for a few cards this weekend. The finishing touch are the Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems that I used on 2 of the cards.
First we have the one I made using the Freshly Made Sketch #690. Do you think it needs a sentiment? Without one on the front, I can use this card for many different reasons--just because, birthday, get well or more. The only thing I wish I'd done differently is emboss the narrow Garden Green cardstock piece. I love adding texture to my cards.
No naked envelope here!

Next we have a card that my friend Jennifer led us in making during her Mystery Stamping night on Friday evening. The first tip I share with new crafters is to add layers. This card is a great example of layers making a big difference in the outcome!
When I die cut my flowers using the Impressions Abloom dies, I added ink to the texture die with a sponge dauber before I die cut/embossed it. It shows up well in the photo on the lower flower.
The DSP I used in the corners is from the Beautiful Bokeh DSP in Fresh Freesia and my layers are Bubble Bath.
Impressions Abloom Dies: Item 165610
I left the largest diamond (square) blank, to leave a place to write a message.
And finally (for now), I created an accordion fold card with the Designer Series Paper and my new (to me) Nested Essentials dies. My leaves were stamped in Garden Green for the detailed stamp and a stamped-off Old Olive for the solid image. They match the leaves on the DSP pretty well. The twine is Strawberry Slush and is part of the Pack your Bags Twine Three-Pack.
I used a retired brick embossing folder, but I'll include a current embossing folder, the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder, in my list of products below.
You can find directions to create this fun fold yourself HERE.
I hope you're inspired to create something today!
Happy Stampin'- Sue
Hello, Sue! I adore the papers you've chosen for your card - no sentiment necessary in my book! Makes it perfect for any occasion! Lovely layered floral bouquet as the star of Karren's Sketch! Thanks so much for playing cards with us this week!
