January Christmas Card

I will be sharing a Christmas card on the 25th of every month--all year long!  Here is January's card.  The triangle stamp from the Tulip Fields stamp set made for a great Christmas tree.  Can you tell those are tulips on the tree?  Stamped in Shaded Spruce, you can't really tell. I found the star die in the Warm Wraps dies.  You may have a punch or other die to use.  Product List Tulip Fields Photopolymer Stamp Set [ 157682 ] Banner Year Photopolymer Stamp Set (English) [ 153464 ] Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Pad [ 147088 ] Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad [ 147084 ] Basic White 8 1/2" X 11" Cardstock [ 159276 ] Real Red 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [ 102482 ] Gold & Rose Gold 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 Cm) Metallic Specialty Paper [ 156844 ] Banners Pick A Punch [ 153608 ] Warm Wraps Dies [ 153521 ] >

January 2022 Card Kits--Using Strips of DSP

These were the Thank You Card Kits for December and January customers.   I was inspired by the Highland Heather card on the top of  page 8 of the January-June 2022 mini catalog.  What a great use of those strips of patterned paper.  You could also use strips of card stock--plain, stamped or embossed. I made a few changes to mine:  their card is 3-3/4" X 3-3/4".  My cards at A2 (5-1/2" X 4-1/4") and 4-1/4" X 4-1/4"  I kept forgetting to stamp on my card bases.  Sometimes I added it after the card was put together My Cinnamon Cider square card is 4-1/4" 4-1/4".  This will fit nicely in our medium envelopes I changed it up a bit for the Cinnamon Cider "Happy Birthday" card by making an A2 card, changing the orientation, and adding a layer of DSP For these first 2 cards, I used the Sala-a-bration item, Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper.  See page 4 in the brochure.  I used Blending Brush to color the Thick Basic White butterfly.  Mi

Craft Roulettte January 7, 2022

I found a weekly stamping 'show' called Craft Roulette on YouTube.  Here are links to the website and YouTube Channel: Craft Roulette Website Craft Roulette YouTube Channel I knew the guest on January 7th, so I watched and played along.  To determine the parameters to use in the project you make, the hostess spins a wheel 4 times to determine the Project, Color, Element, Random elements.  This week the parameters were: Card with a Pocket, Purple +3 (colors), Transportation, and Oval. I do something similar when I have lists of 6 elements and roll dice to determine what to create.  This is especially fun if you have lots of ideas and don't know where to start.  Try it some time! The sentiment is on a tag and can be pulled out of the pocket to write a note to the recipient. I stamped the van in Stazon on Basic White card stock knowing that I wanted to color a few details with watercolor pencils use a Blender Pen on them. I stamped the van on the floral paper from the Pattern
